Re: [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS] ViewSonic unveils monitors for 2021 (The new 240Hz 24" king?)
a few days ago i mailed viewsonic germany, and asked if there is any release date for the xg2431 .. and today i got a mail from Georg Larysch - Account Manager, TD ambassador he told me the display is expected q2 2022 ... i am not sure if they are misinformed, or if the monitor is delayed again, if needed i can post a screenshot of the mail (keep in mind i mailed viewsonic germany, and the answer was very short and pretty much only "the display is ecpected for 2022 q2.") guess i will look into the 360/390hz alternatives

Lul. That has to be a mistake. The monitor is expected in the middle of next year now? lol... Some confusion I am sure. I dont believe that. The dude was looking at the wrong model number or something.

This piece of information is an error. I think some of the less-aware confused XG2431 and XG251G.
Also, since XG251G is native G-SYNC, NVIDIA is working on its strobe backlight (ULMB), rather than Blur Busters.

Thank you comment.Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑15 Jul 2021, 22:13It is AMD FreeSync Premium, and works very well NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible mode. I think ViewSonic sent it to NVIDIA to get official G-SYNC Compatible certification, but I will ask.
I'm torn between two monitors. XG2431 and VG259QM. Do you think I should wait for the XG2431? Or is the VG259QM no different from the other?

I also emailed Viewsonic (UK/Ireland) and this was the response I received:
"Thank you for your interest in our XG2431 gaming monitor. I have checked internally, & been advised that there are currently no plans to release XG2431 in Europe.
However, there is another 24/25” model due out in Europe in Q1 2022 – the ELITE XG251G – which is 25”, & 360hz"
Maybe they are just saying this because it's not currently shipping (and there's no concrete date for EU availability), it seems weird to me that they would *only* release this monitor in the US. Either way, might be worth starting to look at other options if it's still gonna be a long wait.

If this monitor takes too long and I end up not wanting to wait any longer. Just a just survey, which monitor would you pick between:
Asus VG259QM / Asus VG279QM
MSI OPTIXMAG251RX
Acer Nitro XV252QZ
Asus VG259QM / Asus VG279QM
MSI OPTIXMAG251RX
Acer Nitro XV252QZ

Are you not considering Acer Nitro XV252QF? It's the new 390 Hz IPS, very decently priced comparing to other 360 Hz monitors, it's capable of 390 Hz strobing (!) with no brightness impact. From the displays you mentioned I'd pick the ASUS though, it's the one I picked as my main for CSGO.masterblaster wrote: ↑22 Jul 2021, 19:54If this monitor takes too long and I end up not wanting to wait any longer. I'm ordering XV252QF next week, I'm curious about this one. There's a thread about it here on Blur Busters forums and a review from
Bijan Jamshidi on YouTube.
Main display (TV/PC monitor): LG 55G4 OLED evo 4K 144 Hz (WOLED MLA gen2)

Should I get the ASUS VG259QM or wait for the XG2431?
