Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Flickering at 390Hz ( outside fullscreen app ) its a problem with freesync range. Last AMD driver without this issue was 21.5.2. I normally disable freesync in radeon software when i'm not playing games for this reason.

My PG259QNR has the same issue with ULMB, it does not stay activated between games, when rebooting, cold boot.
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Hi guys. I am Nick. I am from France. I just bought this monitor Acer XV252QF from Acer France website and I got two issues :
- 1 st one you are aware is the VRB back to OFF after each PC restart
- 2nd issue is Monitor randomly goes black for a second when I am on DP (390hz). (when, gaming or browsing on web etc..). If I switch to HDMI (240hz) it is fine btw. All my drivers are up to date so I guess a PSU issue maybe. Tell me if you got the same issue. I will try to reach Acer France to get their opinion and I will try to find another DP cable to see if it resolves the issue.
- 3rd issue : I got flickering sometimeswhen browsing on google chrome and the monitor is laggy aswell.
Maybe the monitor PSU is faulty.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
I had the issue with flickering at first, I found I had to disable FreeSync on my 2nd monitor and only have it enabled for the 390hz monitor. Once I only had FreeSync enabled for the 390hz monitor the flickering completely stopped.
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
The thing is that you guys are using an AMD GPU and FreeSync, while I'm using an Nvidia GPU with all syncing technologies on all monitors turned off and it's still going crazy when using 390 Hz.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
I really hope I do not have this problem when mine arrives in a week. I have an RTX 2080 Ti and do not use GSYNC. Does anyone know if this monitor's firmware can even be updated by us? I know most of my previous monitors couldn't be.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Yes, as you say it can't be FreeSync dependant. I don't have a second monitor and I have a 5700 XT, I keep FreeSync disabled anyway both from the OSD and radeon software.
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
i dont use gsync / freesync and i have no problem on 390 hz with 5 year old gpu.. fix your cables i guess. also multiple monitor setup ofc.
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
No problems here aswell, using AMD gpu + cpu, no adrenaline software, only gpu driver.
390hz no Freesync
But I dont think this is a great monitor anyway. Input lag increases ar 390hz compared to 360hz, it is blurry (even tho, less than the other models)
I am still in the 30 day return day, and I think I Will return it

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Really? So 390hz have more input lag than at 360hz? That can’t be right…Notty_PT wrote: ↑19 Sep 2021, 10:54No problems here aswell, using AMD gpu + cpu, no adrenaline software, only gpu driver.
