in the last year I have had vg259qm, xl2546k, aw2521h, aw2721d, but I assure you this Acer is giving me the best experience than any other panel I have tried before, since I bought it my K / D on Apex Legends has increased, and also on Valorant I'm playing better, placebo effect? may be, but I have read similar experiences in this forum. I use this monitor with extreme overdrive, I'm sensitive to overshot but extreme doesn't bother me honestly. The only problem is that this panel is faulty, it flickers with the freesync on, it automatically deactivates the VRB and makes me black screen randomly, several times in a row too. I hope they will release a firmware sooner or later, but I see it as difficult.
In use: XG27AQNGV | 272URX | XG2431
Used before: PG27AQDP | 27GR95QE-B | PG248QP | XL2566K | XL2546K/S | XV252QF | AW2521H | VG259QM | PG279QM | AW2721D

I just returned the one I received from Amazon since the FPS counter didn't work and the image looked exceptionally grainy. When I looked at the build date it said Jan 2021. Is this right? I thought this monitor only came out recently.
it's the hz counter...........

it is made in Jan...............

That's interesting. Mine does not look grainy at all (I also have sharpening off). Honestly, I prefer the washed out look of TN panels over IPS, but I did think this display looked sharper than my other 1080p displays. Messing with the color settings gets me the same washed out look that I like.

more accurately, the low contrast that's more esport friendly. it's not exactly desaturated instagram filter lul. some of you kept mentioning nvidia panel, I tried that sheding back in early pubg days, and vibrance gui and stuff. wrecked the eye and addiction/reliance was bad. turned that stuff off never looked back. gain not worth the loss. turned pubg into fortnute aesthetic.

it's not even just about gaming, everything not colorful is gonna taste like paper to your eyes. there's no end to that. Your eyes will lose the ability to discern colors ( it's like you rode an overpriced 10k$ Trek for too long a Walmart bike u suddenly can't ride it, even thought anyone else can go at it just fine, that's not being more skillful, that's digression and reliance and pay to win.. your thresold is upped too much). Real life is not that overly poppy. (also I don't like photography the way most "boomers" do it with the "after edits" taking precedence over it all. Everyone seems like they are supposed to be a pro/or they actually seem to be one...it's too much pressure for someone oldschool like me... I miss the old days where nobody has a computer to edit their photos, even the early days of digital cameras, there weren't a lot of programs nor a lot of features for the layman.

I just watched a few of your vids about the tests you did with this monitor on bilibili, but it's in Chinese so I'm not sure what to make of it. I saw a few blur busters tests in there as well, I've not gotten to even half of everything you uploaded though. I do know that this monitor's input lag is literally extremely low so that's nice... really the only thing that concerns me is response time and pixel response time. It's the only thing I need to know in order to decide if I'm getting this or one of that new 240hz "matured" monitors that Notty recommends. Pursuit shots at 1080 and 1920 px/s don't look too good (go 1 or 2 pages back on this thread to see them). What do you think? I see no point in the extra refresh rate if it's gonna get blurry if I move too fast, which is the whole point of even getting this monitor lol. Better motion clarity and visuals while moving at exceedingly fast speeds, doing 180's and the like.

what they are talking about sounds like confuscating things. I can do all the tests again if you like, or you can specify which one you think is most telling of what you want to know. But before those vids I already posted in the viper 8k threads some pics of the mrpt results. it's 0.2-0.3ms. Also my phone is a handmedown from family member who don't use computer anymore for some years. Even then you'd think that with the massive amount of consumer market in smartphones they'd have cameras that bypass monitor artifacts and flicker as if it's shooting with a 20 year old DV, but no...

speaking of that I'm surprised nobody seem to care that there is indeed some sort of a flicker issue or so some doubters say..... maybe those are causing the somewhat more obvious fatigue? or is it just a higher hz? or that 390 is not native? surprised about a lack of doubt on overclock too (factory overclock as they say, but still)

are we masking potential problems with one liners like "anything that is factory oc is good oc and passed health concern testproofs", and "the higher the hz the better, regardless of complications and conflicting sync effects across the system, if the camera picks up flicker, it's your camera that sucks/isn't in sync, your eyes can do just fine"

Is there a method or a new firmware update to stop VRB from being disabled every time you turn off your pc? Or is there still no fix?

Anyone’s pre-ordered this monito xc252qf from Amazon yet? It says in stock soon, I placed mine but the item’s not coming till November, not sure if it’ll ever come cuz of low in stock. Is it really worth it to upgrade it from my dell s3220dgf 165hz 32 inches?

Since S3220DGF is a VA panel, XV would be an upgrade in motion clarity and smoothness (competitive gaming). Everything else is a downgrade.

Thanks a lot! Is the jump from 165hz to 360hz significant? I was considering the Zowie xl2546k but TN has always been bad outside of competitive gaming
