Can you guys explain this further for a noob in the matter? Why such resolutions as 2300x1300, 1742 x 980, 1692 x 952 are not considered scaling?
Non-native resolutions can be:
1. scaled/stretched to fit whole or part of the screen - blurry
2. not stretched - crisp 1:1 pixel
Example for non-stretched ultrawide monitor:

it's very funny to hear about people who talk about 8000hz mice, but they themselves have such a graph at 1000hz

create a custom resolution without scaling (like 2300x1300) so as to obtain an image of 24 inches inside the 27
Yes this trick is neat. I do same for my 32" 1440. It has same pixel density as 24" 1080p. So i can make 23.8 screen with 1080p resolution, 1:1. Full 1440 for desktop, 1080 for gaming.
Same goes for 27" 1080p. Someone here said VG279QM was too big for gaming. But with this trick you can make it smaller, plus u get more fps with lower resolutions. Pixel size ofc stays the same tho. With 1742 x 980 you get 24.5" and 1692 x 952 23.8"
One annoying thing with this is windows volume pop-up when u chage it which i do very often. It messes with scaling and moves whole image to top left corner.
I used that on my old 24,5 monitors but always ended up with a big problem: input lag noticeably higher
Unless I was doing something wrong, it was windowed mode similar input lag. I guess the monitor scaling adds delay

I currently main Coolermaster MM720 and Razer Viper mini
Viper 8000hz is amazing, but I can't aim with that shape/size
If razer or Coolermaster make a 8000hz version of their fingertip models I will jump immedtialy.
8000hz > 1000hz, but Shape > everything

no idea what u are talking about. u do know what hdtv stands for right? and what's the top scored (top 3 no less) in top 10 + (granted doesn't seem to be much fierce competition, so I listed another one I know has good rep)
it's like what are you gonna do with that content on 4k monitor? oh wait, you watch it on sofa anyways. or conversely what do I do with 4k content? just watch it and pretend it's a retina screen
