How to keep 120hz on monitor when 60hz TV is connected?

How to keep 120hz on monitor when 60hz TV is connected?

Benq XL2720z is connected through dvi, tv through hdmi. But monitor automatically switch to 60hz in clone display mode. Is there a way to keep it at 120hz while tv is connected?

I am pretty sure in clone mode they both have to be the same resolution and refresh rate.
