Help in buy a new Monitor

Post by Vash_84 » 04 Jul 2022, 02:54

Hi Everyone,

i'm going to buy a new gaming monitor and i would like to have your suggestion. At the moment i've got the MSI mag251rx (on a rtx3090), really good monitor but i'm looking to move from 1080 to 1440 on a 27inch.

After a lot of reading i found out this 4 options:

- Acer Predator XB273UGX i found it decent but it has got too few configuration (link shadow, black or similar);
- DELL Alienware AW2721D that is a really great monitor but it has got a fun for the gsync chipset and it is a bit annoying about the sound and rumors;
- ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM that is great but i read that is not so comfortable and the color contrast is not the best;
- LG 27GP850-B but it is only 180hz and i used to 240hz so i would like to stay on that refresh rate.

I'm really confused about which one to choose and i would like to have your suggestion and maybe from people that owns one of them to get their feedback.

Thanks in advance !!

I cant recommend specific thing but I used Samsung G7 but ill never recommend it . I sold it . u can check M27Q X or the MSI MAG274QRX both are 240hz and have the same panel . I tried the M27Q X but returned it due to bright pixels . I don't know why people in this forum always recommend 1080p and 24 inch or 25 inch screen . what I mean not all users want 1080p and less than 27 inch monitors ill never use 1080p with 27inch again . difference between 1080p and 1440p is satisfying . besides I realized most people here recommend low blur and ghosting monitor like the ViewSonic or the BENQ one . i know thats a good thing but not all people playing competitively .
