Hi there,
I was just wondering if a 144hz monitor work with Quakelive, am asking the question because quakelive maximum refresh rate is 120hz so will a monitor with 144 work with this maximum refresh rate of a 120?
will I get the best performance? will be there any issues ? should i buy a 120hz monitor to avoid problems?
thanks

Re: Quaklive and 144hz monitor?
why do you think quakelive maximum refresh rate is 120hz?
I play quakelive at 250 fps @ 140 hz.

It makes a noticable difference.
For best results I cap my frames @ 120fps (com_maxfps 120) set a resolution @ 120hz and depending on taste enable blur reduction. The blur reduction will lower the brightness considerably so you may want to adjust the strobe "on time" to about 1-2ms.
I do not use v-sync as it adds unacceptable input lag, however it does look slightly nicer.
Further to this set your mouse poll rate @ 1000hz provided it can do this reliably, I'm using an A4tech Bloody V7 @1000hz which has a pixart optical sensor.
