Re: a couple questions
the g sync range of the monitor is 48-144 so if i got a game thats 40 or 30 fps what will happen will g sync disengage and therefore only leaving v sync on and fps limit ?
Re: a couple questions
i had a look in g sync 101 in the range one and couldnt understand it much when it comes to going under min g sync refresh,
what ive just noticed is playing around with nvidea profile inspector is that both on the global tab and per app it has g sync - application mode and g sync - global mode which of these two do i change if i want to change it to full screen and windowed for 1 game in particilar ?

Re: a couple questions
The LFC (low framerate compensation) function at the driver-level for G-SYNC Compatible FreeSync monitors like yours extends the effective G-SYNC range to 20 FPS or lower.Anonymous893125 wrote: ↑23 Oct 2022, 16:04the g sync range of the monitor is 48-144 so if i got a game thats 40 or 30 fps what will happen will g sync disengage and therefore only leaving v sync on and fps limit ?
This was answered in entry #5 of the Closing FAQ I linked in my previous reply to you:Anonymous893125 wrote: ↑23 Oct 2022, 16:11what ive just noticed is playing around with nvidea profile inspector is that both on the global tab and per app it has g sync - application mode and g sync - global mode which of these two do i change if i want to change it to full screen and windowed for 1 game in particilar ?

- For the global profile keep both "G-SYNC – Application Mode" and "G-SYNC – Global Mode" on "Fullscreen Only."
- For per profile, keep “G-SYNC – Global Mode” on "Fullscreen Only," but change "G-SYNC – Application Mode" to "Fullscreen and Windowed."

Re: a couple questions
hi mate im on it right now loving it , is it normal for everything to look smaller than how it was ? when i switch it back to 1080 p everything goes to normal size
Re: a couple questions
ahh ok so only when fps goes below 20 itll start being bad yeah ?
Re: a couple questions
What are you referring to exactly? G-SYNC configuration does not involve any resolution changes, so you must be doing something else.Anonymous893125 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2022, 13:04is it normal for everything to look smaller than how it was ? when i switch it back to 1080 p everything goes to normal size
Not necessarily.Anonymous893125 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2022, 13:08ahh ok so only when fps goes below 20 itll start being bad yeah ?
Again, your monitor is a G-SYNC Compatible FreeSync display, which means it must use driver-level software to perform LFC at 20 FPS and below to keep G-SYNC behavior active at the lower end of its range.
It's probable your monitor model's LFC supports 20-0 FPS during G-SYNC operation. LFC likely kicks in sooner than 20 FPS on your model anyway (most do, even on G-SYNC monitors with hardware modules).
In other words, I wouldn't worry about it.
