Hp omen x 25

Switching from the Aorus kd25f to the Omen x 25 would be a upgrade or a downgrade in terms of clarity(motion clarity in particular)?

X 25 is known to be one of the fastest TN. I'd dare to say response time performance is on par with new XL2566K 360Hz. In my head it's sorted 1. XL2566K, 2. X 25, 3. other... For blur reduction X 25 is limited to 144Hz max, KD25F isn't. So that's one of its disadvantages. But 144Hz ULMB is probably much clarer than KD25F 240Hz Aim Stabilizer. U can Compare UFO's.

But In reality you're considering "upgrading" from 240 TN to 240 TN, so don't expect too much. Depends on how sensitive u are to ghosting specifically (response times).

Since i made the switch to the kd25f i felt some of discomfort with the display. I tried different settings but it barely made any difference. The main problem is that i cant play a lot of games(2d especially) because i feel a little dizziness that sometimes continues to the next day. Im hoping that switching to a faster more clearer display would help.

Before that i had a simple 60hz 24inch monitor and i never felt any dizziness on any game.

Do you have Aim Stabilizer enabled all the time? If not maybe this monitor uses high frequency PWM for dimming. Flickering backlight can be uncomfortable for some people.

I tried with and without Aim stabilizer. With it i feel better with overall feeling, but my eyes hurt a bit. Without it the eyestrain is gone but i feel some of overall discomfort(like having hard time concentrate).

Im 2 years as well with this monitor. I thought that over time it will get better, but after 2 years it feels the same so im considering switching to a different one.

See given images. High freq PWM dimming is still flickering even though it doesn't have any blur reduction benefits. Some monitors use this old school method to control brightness.

Single strobe backlight pulses once per refresh cycle. For PWM dimming backlight pulses multiple times. The more times you pulse it per cycle the closer you get to classic sample and hold motion (blur reduction off).

Thats something you'll have research online for your specific monitor. Idk if uses it.
