Controller input lag when monitor refresh rate exceeds polling rate?

Post by Stephennb » 14 Jan 2023, 02:51

So I don't really know much about input lag and stuff, but I'm a professional gamer and I play on a dualshock 4 controller which has a polling rate of 250hz. If I'm playing on a game with 300fps, will it cause any input lag related issues because the monitor refresh rate exceeds the polling rate of the controller?
