Well, it did get very good reviews and appears to be one of those "best value for the money" displays, and I think it supports VRR and blur reduction strobing at the same time.

Re: The Official *Asus VG259QM* Owners Thread (+ Secret Overdrive)
Hi a mostly play csgo and Fortnite i get around 230ish fps but it very depends on the game scenario for example in fortnite i’ve been using
280hz od120 with variable sync on
so i am asking what settings should i use for this monitor to make my game feel better
what level shadow boost should i use variable sync? or no? i am aiming for the least screen tearing and input lag

Hello, how did you update the monitor firmware? I have mcm102, hertz is also often reset from 240 to 144 .... the monitor was changed under warranty, everything is the same ...

Hello, i see people recommend to turn of adaptive sync on monitor menu but it can be useful on story based games, can i keep it on on the monitor but disable it in the Nvidia Control Panel via this setting for competitive games, does it have the same effect ?

ASUS VG279QM , What's the Best CRU mods or settings for better performance for panel
Hey Blur people , Wish the main site would update monitor guides and info but oh well lol.
As for why i'm here, I just wanted to change things up with my settings up, been sitting on this 280hz Asus tank for 2yrs now and with OLED being so expensive (1000$ for cheap). I just got the bug for better so tweaking it is lol but I can get the OLED...
My color profile is on 96.5% rgb with monitor osd tweaks 120od unlocked and profile color windows file. All I want now is better pixel latency and latency accuracy as much as possible plus this would be good to research and if anyone has any insight on there knowledge of things to try, would like too make it happen (hope this helps the community too this monitor is still awesome and top dog in "hold tech" ahahah.)
Well I lowered some frequencies in the horizontal clock from 628mhz default to 616mhz reduced seems to feel better and more controlled and smooth with my 1660ti. Will be able to find out if it will work with a 6900xt better once my repair tech finishes repairing the faults in it.
I also added RGB/adobe support with the normal profile "bt.2020 settings" in the color profiles, now it looks even better then before with the contrast to RGB color setting in OSD, might be closer to 98.69ish% then 96.5% from before stock, tweak Big win. this monitor has hdr so I just upped it from 120 to 144hz might try higher and see what happens. Just will keep going till something breaks
Undecided

Does this secret mode work for the vg258qm?
I tried following the steps and I get Chinese letters on the overdrive setting when I do it. If not, what’s the best overdrive for this monitor?
