Atlas OS
Hi just wondering if anyone here runs atlas OS and can compare it vs tweaking a system yourself. Just wondering if atlas is better at stripping stuff down vs when you manually run tweaks/disable services which lead to hundreds of event viewer errors etc.

Re: Atlas OS
Yes i'm using AtlasOS and if you're asking me its already tweaked but if you wanna touch on your own tweaks go for it, but its great for me i use it always when i wanna reset my PC.
(I'm 3k elo on faceit CSGO so that would give you a small indication personally for me its good)

Re: Atlas OS
Not yet but heard plenty of good about it recently. I've mostly always tweaked my OS myself with stuff i'd find and retest overtime and usually find myself reinstalling every 2-4 Windows build releases and then disabling Windows Update to further stop bloating or cluttering up.Coldplayer wrote: ↑03 May 2023, 19:25Hi just wondering if anyone here runs atlas OS and can compare it vs tweaking a system yourself. Each time with new discoveries as well as testing stuff a-new as it can differ per OS build.
However I may decide to automate this as I frankly don't have as much time to invest into it anymore as of late years.

Re: Atlas OS
I've tried GamerOS from the ntlite community. There is a quick start with this from Chris Titus. In my opinion this works much better than stripping things out yourself from a full install. YMMV.

Re: Atlas OS
Use virtual machines with snapshots, then. 10 secs on nvme restoration back to previous state (any state, fresh, tweaked, not working)Kyouki wrote: ↑04 May 2023, 04:23Not yet but heard plenty of good about it recently. Re: Atlas OS
Pre-tweaked operating systems such as GamerOS and AtlasOS are great timesavers for people concerned about spending 100's hours on tweaking. The professionals have iterated over tweaks all at once.

Re: Atlas OS
Just upgraded to atlas and the alt tabbing is really slow, does anyone know what could cause this? Quick google says focus assist but I can't find that option.
