how many of you still have no fix?

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

how many of you still have no fix?

Post by internetexplorer4 » 28 Oct 2022, 13:55

hey guys how many of you are still active trying to find a solution but still have no clue of what it is? where are you from and what games do you play?

I live in Brazil and I'm trying to fix it since 2017 when it started to get worse and I started to really notice, but I have this issue even before 2017 for sure, now when I look back I can see clearly that I have this since early 2016 or even before. I play only osu! but I can feel it on every game even on desktop (but desktop actually feels way better) I have all the classic symptoms that all we already know. Both PC and internet are "infected" and I went to 4 different gaming cafes and it's the same.

I was thinking on creating a discord group for we keep the updates and help ourselves if possible maybe there's another brazilian here or another osu player

I don't know if it is allowed to share a discord group here or share my discord id but I think it could be really helpful for all of us, and then if we find any solution we can make another post in here to update to other people

So I'll give I try and drop the link and my id here (don't know if it's allowed) https//discord.gg/[REMOVED] and my discord is snow#8369

HI, discuss here, in public. Many ppl can found helpul information from the forums, like this, thanks to Google. Discord is not about discussion, only messaging app, not indexable by search engines. I bet you're found this forum, because of Google. If the owner had only discord or somthing similar, chances for find helpful community of inputlaggers is going to zero. So, please, dont grab popularity from the forum to your discord

Currently, there is no Blur Busters Discord.

We don't allow advertising of brand new personal Discords. This is because we've had a spammer send PM's linking to their Discord, which them was used to upsell without our knowledge (e.g. tweaks, or grey market products, whether legitimate or scam).

To reduce risk, we only allow vetted / business Discords.

Generally, we need you to be a known personality in the Blur Busters universe, with a trusted Discord (like Battle(non)sense or ToastyX or RTINGS or esports team whatever), preferably one that we are already a participant of. Examples are Monitor Enthusiasts or Rocket Science. The reason we allow this is because we are the inventor of display tests for a lot of content creators, and thus we welcome content creators to use our forums to raise awareness to new issues. For example we let ToastyX advertise his brand new CRU software here, because of its Blur Busters importance.

There's already a latency discord (Latency & Gaming) at https://discord.gg/hmxpMpff as an example.
But be careful, read the #rules -- there is a zero tolerance policy on certain things.

Be noted, many there also view EMI issues as usually wild goose chases. As do I too (though there are one-off legit cases, and almost never universal fix-alls, and thus we permit discussion on this topic, in a very strongly walled "only-this-subforum" manner here).

That being said, it is fine to put your Discord[/Twitch/YouTube/whatever] handle in your signature.

I am quite skeptical when a person says that this problem is everywhere, including Internet cafes. It is necessary to approach the problem very carefully. You should definitely find a place where this problem does not exist, there may be another city and Internet cafes there. you should check it out.
I don't think these people have a placebo, but there are various neurological abnormalities that produce similar effects. Therefore, it is necessary to quickly find out if there is a problem in the ideal place.
