Hi I really want to know which monitor from your tests is the most worth it for Apex legends?
I tested many like you did and ended up staying with my Omen X25 and Omen 27QS and I'm still debating if I like 1440p or I enjoy 1080p more.
It feels like it's easier for me to track enemies and read text on 1080p (omen x25)
While the 27qs is good for the 1440p I'm not sure I like it in terms motion blur
Also it seems you used BenQ xl2546k/xl2566k which used by most pros. Why you gave up on them?
Hope we can figure the best monitor options for Apex legends
Hi, I deleted my previous comment because I did not find it objective, I will test it in more detail and for now it seems to be the only and best 27 Inch 1080p recommendable for Apex Legends, it is very smooth!
Regarding the resolution, I was in the same debate as you for 3 years! I change between 1080p and 1440p very often and my conclusion is even at low settings with a big GPU : 1080p > 1440p!
27qs seems to be meh but i'm no longer interested by HP/Omen things, it's just bad for me and overhyped.
Also it seems you used BenQ xl2546k/xl2566k which used by most pros. Why you gave up on them?
Because like the majority, I'm looking for ips, although the good IPS can be counted on the fingers of one hand, I separated from the BenQs because they all had (for the latest models) coil whine, which we don't have with the old models, I had 4 XL2566K, 5 XL2546K, all of them had coil whine.
In terms of input lag, the XL2566K are not the best for me, the XL2546K feels faster in terms of input lag but overall i think the XL2566K is better because 360hz (especially since maybe Apex Legends will uncap the 300FPS limitation in the coming months since they will move the game to Source 2)
The BenQs are good but always leave a feeling of boredom because of the coil whine but especially because TN, sometimes you will lose your duel because of the color clipping of the TN because the red will necessarily be "burned"
On the other hand, if I put myself in "tryhard" mode, I play very well on BenQ screen, currently I separated from the Acer XV272UX, I was with it for more than a year and in the end I almost never play in 1440p on it (yes because it's a 1440p) because I didn't like the feeling of 1440p and this one especially had a really garbage Overdrive (the off/normal mode was laggy, for example when an enemy shot me and there was too much recoil, it looks like I had a loss of FPS/micro stutters but no, it's just the screen that is unstable, that's what happens when your screen that has a really horrible refresh compliance and it was slow and the latest mode of overdrive have a tons of overshoot)
Hope you can find what you want, what is your use ? only competitive gaming ? only Apex Legends ?
