Re: ViewSonic XG2431
So after two days of keeping it on overnight, no improvement can be seen. Although there were power outages and it may have not been on for the amount of time needed. I can keep it going for a few more days just to be sure

Yes, give it 1-2 days.rizwanazam wrote: ↑07 Aug 2023, 18:11So after two days of keeping it on overnight, no improvement can be seen. Although there were power outages and it may have not been on for the amount of time needed. I can keep it going for a few more days just to be sure
There is the possibility that there's some permanent imprints, e.g. monitor damaged during shipping and the internals are still pressing hard against the rear of the screen. Hopefully it was temporary box pressure spots, rather than something currently bent inside the monitor (caused by rough handling of monitor box, e.g. it fell flat, and the rear internals pressed very hard internally, or was staked too high with a ton of weight)
It's known that giving monitor time diminishes pressure spots, but if no change in 3 days -- definitely RMA

Re: ViewSonic XG2431
Would you recommend pure black full screen image with 100% brightness and contrast through XG2431's setting and Nvidia control panel's brightness/contrast to maximum?
