For CS:GO/Valorant usage, it is probably a good choice for the price but if you play at other games like Apex Legends, Overwatch or even Battlefield, avoid this monitor.

It's just my personnal experience ( even if certain point are totally objective ) but i can't recommend this monitor at all, i feel it is a little bit overrated.
At first I didn't pay attention to 1080p on this 27inch, I forced myself and said to myself (man you'll get used to it and after that it will be normal) where actually, TN panel , I "can" get used to, the 27 inch 1080p, no, absolutely not.

On this screen I just feel like I'm so stupid as if my brain didn't react, I tried with different keyboards, different mice, different PCs, always the same, I feel stupid and at times I don't react to the enemy, everything is "troubled" whatever it is with or without anti-aliasing.

There is what i see when i play ( An absolutely garb*ge image quality ) :

Ok, i think i read the most threads here about this monitor. It is the 27" Monitor ASUS VG279QM and i speak only as a User of this screen
and not a professional. I had a samsung 60 hz monitor and after that a Lenovo G27q-20 165 hz.

I felt that I was always at a bit of a disadvantage with the Lenovo in fortnite compared to players with a 240 Hz monitor or even higher.
That's why I now have the Asus with 280 Hz.
The first impression was really very good and I had the feeling that I see everything faster and better. However, after playing the monitor for about 2 months now, I have the same feeling as Sirius.
When it comes to very fast scenes, which are the rule in Fortnite, especially in No BUILD and you wildly speed with the mouse over the entire mouse pad I have the impression I see nothing at all. Even enemies in the distance are almost impossible to see and even when they shoot at me, it takes me far too long to see them at all. I have now tried all the settings that are available on this monitor and will get another one. It has a great picture when set up correctly but as soon as there is fast movement or something in the distance, I just can't get it right.
This is just my own impression as a normal user and not as a monitor specialist.

G-Sync makes it a bit better but i am an old far* with a old system. I need every millisecond I can get :D

Thanks for your opinion ! you are the second to have the same feeling, so it confirms what I was saying, thank you.

After all it makes sense, actually for me, in 2023 and today just talking about "Motion Blur" is obsolete.

If you only play CS:GO, Valorant or that kind of low scale and shallow depth games, even 720p for some older players, you'll probably be fine.

However I am talking about a realistic case here, it is absolutely very complicated to judge people's personal opinions/tastes but today, in my humble opinion, for anyone, at arm's length and also a 60cm or 80cm deep desk, the poor 82 PPI are not enough and I assume what I say totally.

On Fortnite, Apex, even Overwatch! are hard to play with, in fact, motion blur is one of the most important elements, you may have a 4K and see well, if the panel is blurry in movements and does not manage response time well, you will play in poor comfort and it will be bad for you BUT the reverse is also a real thing and to be taken into account, if you don't see much basically on your screen (1080p 27 inches at 82 PPI) here for this VG279QM, you will discern less well the details in movement because you have already basically less details than 1440p at the same size or 1080p at 25 inches.
So humanly, your brain will have to "decode" what you see, before making you react, just a fast stupid example:

- ( 1080p 27 inch ) Is that an enemy over there? or aliasing in the bush ? -> 800ms to react. ( with the lack of details, you remain attentive but think more slowly about whether you are going to shoot or force yourself to know if it is an enemy )

- ( 1080p 25 inch / 1440p 27inch ) Is that an enemy over there? or aliasing in the bush ? -> 400ms to react. ( with a little more detail, you knew that the enemy was there because it stands out a little better from the scenery, you reacted a little faster )

however, I'm only talking about static cases but as you say in motion it's also the same thing, the screen becomes blurry while on paper in theory, it has a good motion blur on the UFO TEST (that's why I would like to see a UFO test a little more detailed), because basically the panel is not detailed enough (in addition to ELMB being totally bad ) that doesn't help either.

Thank you for your opinion once again, I am still trying the XL2566K for the last time because it is really intriguing but I find it difficult to separate myself from high resolutions now.
Current temporary test : none | Main monitor : Acer XV272UX | I had : 1080P : XL2546X / XL2566K / XL2546K / XL2546 / XL2540K / XL2746S / EX2510 / MAG251RX / NXG253R / MAG271CR / VG259QM / VG258QM / XG249CM / XG259CM / VG279QM / S2522HG / XG2431 / XG2405 / XG2702 / AW2518HF / AW2521HF / AW2720HF / 24G2U / Omen X 25 | 1440P : XV272UX / MAG274QRF-QD / MSI MAG 274QRF-QD E2 / 27GP850 / 27GN850 / AW2723DF / Omen X 27 / XG27AQM / XG27AQMR / S2721DGFA / Odyssey G7 / EX270QM / VG27AQML1A / XENEON 27QHD240 / XV272UKF / XV272UX 4K : U28G2XU2 / M32UC
