How many years ( approximately ), will xg259cms last? I got a nightmare from the VG249QM1A which only lasted 1 year even though i took care of it well.

It's a futile question. Look up the concept of bathtub curve and then... hope for the best? That's how it's always been with tech, more or less.
Don't buy it, I bought it to compare it with my vg259qm and the monitor has an excellent performance but all benefit is ruined by its VERY aggresive coating (is like oil layer effect), i think other xg models from 2024 suffer from this, at least this one and the xg27acs.
To be honest I noticed that too after I switched from my VG279Q, but after a while it's not that bad at all, although my daily driving brightness on it is 100nit (about 21 brightness), so I got used to it by now.
These are Windows ClearType artifacts. I've mentioned this quirk in my post about the monitor previously, and have since not found a reliable enough of a fix other than disabling CT entirely or setting it to Grayscale via BetterClearTypeTuner. One other option is MacType, which I have got to work flawlessly for a while, but I only achieved this with a peculiar sequence of settings that I applied in a certain order which I have since forgot because it didn't stick as the lines came back after a reboot. It went something like disabling ClearType first, then enabling MacType, turning off the main monitor, then unplugging the second monitor... I'll come back to solving this issue sometime in the future, hopefully, but so far it is what it is.
Does it mean input lag or reponse time ? cuz if it`s response time looks like it better than on monitors like AW2523HF and XG259QNS ?kyube wrote: ↑10 Sep 2024, 12:46https://www..com/video/BV1wU411S7tY/ @ 03:12 should be what interests you.gigapiga wrote: ↑07 Sep 2024, 20:51Hey guys this is my first post here. Building a new pc which meant upgrading my old monitor. I was on a AOC 144hz VA panel and I just ordered this monitor. Can't find many reviews anywhere. Was wondering if anyone knew the best settings for it? I play mostly competitve games like Valorant and such. The 310 hz caught my attention, but I know sometimes the overclock can cause more issues than benefits.
