I claim to not know things when I do not know them. Most of this place is about speculation and you are contributing to toxicity because you can't stand seeing something you think is insensible. You explain how this technology is not in use, etc. but that does not answer if it can cause latency issues regardless. You did not test this personally and base your knowledge on how things SHOULD work.ahead wrote: ↑24 Jan 2025, 02:02ROFL, go ahead and ban me if you want. But seriously, you clueless idiots—first of all, DirectDraw was used for 2D games. Second, it hasn’t been used in over 20 years and was replaced by other technologies. I’m honestly done tolerating this level of stupidity.
You know why you never get answers? Because you can’t call idiots what they truly are. That’s the fundamental problem with this place.

Something that is thought to be unused is what I meant but there is no need to get into mental gymnastics here.dervu wrote: ↑24 Jan 2025, 05:29How can something not being used cause latency?Hyote wrote: ↑24 Jan 2025, 04:18I claim to not know things when I do not know them. I worded things in my original post almost 1:1 with what you wrote in these comments but it still seems like a huge issue for you. Maybe the post is not up to some imagined standards but this is still a forum about experimental things. I don't know if I'm also slightly off base here but I don't see how information that is neutral at worst can cause someone to stop visiting this site. If you lose hope because you don't see sensible posts every single time you should reevaluate why this place might exist. We are trying to tackle problems here which are not even talked or even thought about so there is no clear path to any solution. That is exactly why I write some lower quality posts because I remember how I came across some settings that would not have been discovered without someone trying and sharing them.
