I always said ram has the most effect on this thing.
Slowing it down makes it better this is prolly well known , if your cpu power cable going near it even with 6 cm distance , its goes shit.
Cheaper ram = better , b-die or super high mhz capable sticks= worse
Single channel = better if you dont get fps drops.
Inserting them all the way = worse , slight pulling after install = better ( this is very subtle tho )
I was considering sandpapering ram slot pins on back of mobo to increase signal integrity , but you gotta shorten each one of them the same. Also mechanical stress might harm solder joints.

I currently have a pvs416g400c9k RAM kit (samsung bdie) and am learning all the theory of overclocking, fine tuning. I'll let you know what comes out of it if I can figure it out. So far I only have 1 set of RAM F4-3200C16D-16GTZRX that runs on xmp without desync in games, but I'm hoping that with tuning it's possible to get it perfect.

If you have problems, you should use that method to eliminate a RAM problem from your equation, doesn't matter if XMP was used or not. I'm stating it again and again, it's not meant to be a solution. The point of that procedure is to get the memory out of the question for your troubleshooting. You can always do it if you suspect your RAM to be a problem. Hope that helps.

Sure. It will still work, it's just something I like to have on on ASUS boards, but it's not needed. Fast Boot should be there though, every somewhat recent board/BIOS should have that. Just make sure the memory is (re)trained under the worst-case scenario with high temperatures.

Great! Now you know for sure that temperature related instablilty is not a concern and you can continue troubleshooting elsewhere. Objective achieved. Also the timing reader tool you use doesn't show every single timing and subtiming, obviously. There might still be subtimings that have been changed by BIOS when training. It doesn't hurt leaving it like this when moving forward with troubleshooting elsewhere.
