The white ribbon, you mean? If so, I'll go try reseating it. Hopefully the monitor is easier to open the second time around...

Let me wait for a response from NVIDIA. They are real busy, so a bit slow at replying, but this is important info to find out.PiERiT wrote:Just reseated it and it's still happening.
Should I try not sliding it back to lock it? The instructions make no mention of that.
Hmm, what page is that on? My manual doesn't say anything like that for the ribbon step.nimbulan wrote:I haven't noticed any rainbow banding on mine, though I haven't tried any games yet. I'm about to boot up Far Cry 3 though.
For the brown connector for the blue-tipped ribbon cable, I followed the instructions in the manual: Use the round end of the prying tool to unlock the connector. After this, I just pushed the cable into it and it popped open really easily.
Oh I was using the updated PDF guide since it has some extra information. They tell you to use the rounded end of the prying tool to unlock the connector on step 31.PiERiT wrote:Hmm, what page is that on? I had it happen when starting up Saints Row 4 as well. It must be normal.PiERiT wrote:Bah, I had no idea there was an updated guide. That would have saved a lot of time.
I've mainly been using BF4 and Metal Gear Rising to test the rainbow thing. it happens more often than not.
