Oh nice! I didn't know a conference was afoot. Hope to see some G-Sync or DP 1.3 news.

I contacted BenQ USA today via their facebook page today and got a reply almost instantly stating that they will be available June at the earliest :(

They probably found some severe defect in the G-Sync modules?

Nah -- From all the rumors I hear, it's not the reason.
As bleeding edge as the first boards were, the were for a "limited time", as they mentioned early on.

I think there is just a lot more work turning the GSYNC upgrades into a production feature built into shipping monitors, including all the extra features that both ASUS and BENQ wants. Normally, engineering cycles for monitors, has tended to be longer than this.

Monitor upgrade cycles have accelerated recently (because of the recent "Better Than 60Hz" innovations like 144Hz, strobe backlights, and GSYNC -- "revolutionary" tech shifts similar to HDD->SSD transition) -- so if you can afford it, I usually tend to go with "Buy now, sell, then buy something better later" -- because there's always something better around the corner. Normally a lot of us bought monitors every 5 years, but the pace of "Better Than 60Hz" tech has surged in recent years considering there were no 120Hz flat panel monitors before less than four years ago. Now it's a rapid development cycle compared to the past. Even though we always hope it's next month it's often turning out to be six months, etc.

And that is why I'm inclined to not wait for G-Sync and just go for a Eizo Foris FG2421. I've heard it's very good all around even if I either have to live with input-lag or screen tearing.

Chief, could you possibly have heard a little bird talking about either or not the Eizo Foris FG2421 is going to get a G-Sync upgrade module?
That way I could buy it later.

Sad to hear this news, any word on the Phillips or Viewsonic?
I'm currently using a 23-inch Samsung Syncmaster from 2009 and I'm ready to step up to higher Hz. I built a new rig in October and I even held out playing/beating certain games so I can play them with a G-Sync monitor. :(

Still waiting for news. I do know that a lot of the models will come before the end of 2014.

GSYNC is exciting, and will eventually arrive in many gaming monitors, but it's always a waiting game for many of the new fun technologies!

Same here! I feel I'm doing a disservice to play some great games with screen tearing or input lag at a 60Hz blurry monitor when I could play them with G-Sync soon. But I guess there's no use waiting then. There's no sign of any good monitor being released soon, let alone any VA G-Sync panel.
