Yeah. Gamma at 5, but still unable to get decent blacks. Every morning when I boot up my computer and when the desktop loads, it's kinda depressing to look at. My old monitor (TN-panel) had better blacks. My old cheap LCD TV has better black etc.

The best I've got after trying multiple differen't people's settings and ICC profiles and then just trying to get what looks best on my screen is

Blur Reduction ON (as it makes the blacks darker than OFF), brightness 10, contrast 50, AMA High, Instant Mode OFF (as it makes the blacks darker than ON), Gamma 5.

Not satisfied but I guess that's the best I can do at this time.

It looks way worse IRL than in these pics :/

That's odd.

My XL2411z blacks as compared to yours,

Brightness 40, Gamma 5, Contrast 50, Colour temperature (RGB): 100, 100, 95 respectively. BBR off.

Ok guys. Thanks everyone for the help and info you provided. I decided to send the monitor back as I'm unable to get it setup to my liking and the black levels are horrible.
