ACM - Automatic Color Management in win11
so after enabling this feature i found that the colors have less banding (grey, green) in rtings gradient test
(
https://www.mediafire.com/file/4yx45ln4 ... t.tif/file), less oversaturated and looks like srgb but without blackcrush. is there a conflict with the iss profile? have you tested this? as far as I understand, from a certain version of Windows this setting is enabled by default

See first post in this thread. Use:
Gaming->GameVisual: User Mode
Gaming->GameVisual->Shadow Boost: OFF
Image->Uniform Brightness: ON
Color->Display Color Space: Wide Gamut
Color->Color Temp: User (100, 100, 100)
Color->Gamma: 2.2
And use novideo_srgb EDID mode with target set to "sRGB/BT.709".
180Hz and 240Hz should look great. 144Hz and lower will negatively affect the gamma curve. Also you need to get into the habit of manually disabling the novideo_srgb clamp manually before switching to HDR mode and enabling it again after switching to SDR mode.
If you're on an AMD GPU, then use the driver's sRGB clamp instead of novideo_srgb.
Looks a lot better now indeed, thank you!

I tried that and I thought it fixed it, until I closed and opened the gradient test file. And gradient tests on sites like
https://lcdtech.info/en/tests/dynamic.range.banding.htm still showed slight banding

Should I use the "Standard" of the "NVIDIA" colour output settings in the NVIDIA app?

Really? I thought at higher refresh rates it negatively affected the gamma?

Oops, it should be 2.0 instead of 2.2. I edited my reply.
At 240Hz, a setting of 2.0 gets the closest to 2.2. At 120Hz, a 2.2 setting is the closest. Although I usually prefer somewhat higher gamma because it makes the image look "deeper" with more contrast

I wish there was a 2.1 setting in the OSD, not just 2.0 and 2.2

But minor gamma adjustments like this can be done at the GPU level without a significant hit to overall image quality.

Ok, guys so if you want use novideo_srgb EDID you need to check if ACM (Automatic Color Management in win11) is off in ur system so its basically double clamping and washes out your colors. On my system this setting was enabled by default
and after changing the color depth from 8bit to 10bit in the nvidia control panel, this function is automatically enabled again
on the other hand if you don't like oversaturated colors and you prefer srgb this is a simple way. moreover it automatically turns off when using HDR and you don't need to use novideo_srgb EDID all the time

There is a gray oval shape in certain near black scenes in the center of the screen. Is that normal or something I can disable? There is also a annoying grayish outline around bright lights in near black (like stars in Elite Dangerous) so that might be related.

I don't know if this is the same thing you're describing, but on my end I can see something like that when viewing SDR content in HDR mode, which means Windows 10/11 messes up the gamma and dark colors look completely wrong.

Hi guys, I just registered an account to make this post. I got my Asus XG27AQDMG today (my first OLED too).

- Screenshot 2025-06-12 230635.jpg (20.74 KiB) Viewed 11650 times
It was manufactured in February, 2025 with the latest firmware (MCM104) loaded.
I noticed flickering when playing games and alt-tabbing to my web browser. However, I noticed that turning Image>OLED Anti-Flicker>
Strong makes it go away. Just wondering if some of you guys can resolve your flicker issues by using this setting.
Also, I noticed Black level's 5-6 are almost invisible on lagom website which seems like a big downgrade from my previous Dell S2721DGF IPS monitor that could differentiate all black levels.
