If utility''s ground is messed up and there are ground loops or noise on it or both
you do relize it is not on your end to do anything to improve the situation.
This is why it gets better sometimes and sometimes is worse, it is not in the house its on the utilitys end.
Only thing that actually fixes electrical input lag is to be able to play off grid.
Now you can get solar panel system but it gotta be off grid so a autonomous photovoltaic system that in no way is connected to the grid.
And you plug your pc there only to play with so the energy you stored in the batteries can last you long.
Or you can mod a true double conversion pure sinewave UPS with bigger batteries from the original that came with it, to extend its runtime while on battery and play using UPS on battery mode while it is unplugged completely from your house.

For me going in Apex Legends training mode - firing range, I pick up a weapon i fire it and i can see my high input lag, soon as I unplug the ups from the mains and let my setup run completly of the UPS's batteries input lag slowly withing a few mins disappears completly
my 360hz monitor actually feels like 360hz I have so much time to react to things in my games while I litterly have 2 people in front of my face fighting me I feel like I have so much time to hold down right click aim my crosshair on their face and one tap both.
Im tired trying to help people fix this shit. These are my 2 solutions pick and choose.
But do not come here saying PROVE THIS PROVE that go buy a UPS and do your tests of grid while on battery, you see a difference? then most def you have electrical input lag. Either extend to bigger batteries to increase runtime or go and buy off grid system peace.

Why would it, we are not talking about bad quality power.
We are talking about noisy ground / ground loops or both and when we say ground we do not mean your house's ground, we mean power company's ground.

Even if you lift your ground in the house, you still connected to ground on utility, because GROUND + NEUTRAL IS BONDED at first entrance in your meters. So the noise will still be there even if you don't have grounding in your house.
No transformers nothing will get you off utilitys ground
Because you cannot seperate neutral from ground anyway.
So the best test to do to see if you guys have for sure electrical input lag is to go offgrid and test.
For me having this issue since 2016 that I really focused on that something is wrong its finally fixed going off grid either with a moded UPS or solar off grid system. I tried both 0 input lag perfect picture quality can spot people without zooming my weapon at miles away, cleaner sound and higher volume, super responsive mouse feels like you have seconds to react to stuff when on grid you wouldnt even be able to spot where the enemy shooting you from.

I remember one dude who tried gas generator for 3 days and had 0 lag in those 3 days without degrading. So for how long does gameplay lasted for you when you went off grid ? And why are you here if you know the fix for the issue

You are right, it can be also noisy ground. And you can't remove the ground. TN-C system is 2 times bonded (ground+neutral), which creates a loop (very bad).

The problem is that so many don't have the money to get off the grid (including I). That is a huge investment. I have been trying to find cheaper solutions to this problem.

And second, most people don't have sun all year round (etc. if they live in northern Europe).

What did it cost (off grid system) and how long you can play on it?

I'm in India so sunlight is not a problem here. I have panels installed in my home and i haven't paid anything for electricity in the past 3 years. The problem is, the electricity generated by the panels goes to the power company first and then the power company supplies power to my home depending on the number of units generated by panels.
