Potential temporary fix for csgo input lag (unexplainable)

Post by assombrosso » 23 Dec 2022, 12:51

So I have tried going to settings, and choose audio and reset , choose game and reset, controller reset, keyboard and mouse reset and csgo became much faster, it didn’t remove all the lag but for my case, csgo became really responsive in everything, switching weapons, spraying became much easier, clicking keys in keyboard respond faster, the image even became much smoother, now this doesn’t make any sense at all, but try it yourself. The game will become bad again in minutes, so do reset every 30 seconds and see for yourself.

My explaination is that, after resetting csgo in all of these different sectors, the game gets cleaned from all the error. It could be errors due to cpu not working well with csgo engine, gpu not working well etc. if you open the console window , you will see red lines (image fails to load etc) there are different errors in red line, after googling some, it turns out it’s actually related to the cpu used , a YouTuber managed to fix it ugh going to bios and selecting cpu speed less than 4.3ghz. I believe these errors get accumulated while you are playing csgo which is why many people say they feel less lag after restart or complete no lag after windows reinstall.

The question that we need to ask, what happens when you reset audio, controller and other settings. And what can reset to completely eliminate all the lag and get an experience similar to when you do a fresh windows reinstall?

And since I have pointed out these errors that show up in console and how some of them are relate to the certain cpu used and hoe fast is it. Can we find a certain cpu gpu brand and settings that work well for csgo ?

This needs to be investigated.

And lastly, could electricity interfere with these pc components rendering and working with csgo files and this is why some people manage to fix their lag by changing electricity things ? Or could it be that this is not relate at all to electricity issues ?

This dude is basically showing the same thing but instead of manually doing it, you can save stick settings and exec the file.
In the comments ppl mention it works but for long and it doesn’t eliminate all the lag

Why do so many people talk only about CS GO here? Does anyone play any other game? The reason why I'm asking this is that this creates a little bit of misinformation or makes people believe its only related to CS GO. I play Battlefield games, I play COD, I play all other games and they all feel the same. Hell, lag can be felt on desktop too. These individual fixes for CS GO are not gonna help long term, because you have this issue system wide. And if you don't, then you are VERY lucky, because I wish I could have this issue only with CS GO.

I mean I don't think it takes a lot of effort to notice this input lag even when just using Windows or in any other game. It literally feels heavy everywhere and gets fast/perfect for several seconds whenever it wants, its all the same in every game. So again, if you guys have this issue in CS GO only, consider yourselves lucky.

This sounds like power savings by Windows.

I recommend checking Device Manager and Power Options as seen in these images:

i had once the same expieriences when i deinstalled the intel Chipset from my board. The whole System becamed smoother, even Games became snappier, till windows Updates, updated them back again. Then i switched to a new Version of Windows and since that, its not working anymore. No matter, how often i deinstall them again.

This was a famous suggestion about a Russlan Player on Reddit and it worked like a wonder.

To find the pastebin of it, you have to google "Intel 200 pastebin fix" and i swear to god it worked !

The first time, when i applied it and restarted my PC, i got stucked 10 sec in the Windows logging screen. After that i came in and my Windows was never so smooth like that. Even Singleplayer Games was hella fun. Sadly its not working anymore, and i dont know why but i guarantee you guys, it was not a placebo. Even when i reinstall my windows to try the fix again, its not working. i dont get even the 10 sec freeze like i had at the first time.

After resetting all these settings, you can save it as a config file by writing host_writeconfig (file name) in command window. It will be saved under users inside local cfg folder, move it to csgo cfg folder and excecute it. You can do it every 20 seconds even in mid rounds.

I don’t know how to explain it but I feel like there are different lag reasons, by pc, by electricity, by the game/account it self and you can have one of them or two or all. This thing helps the game lag I feel, the issue isn’t fixed 100% as I mentioned, it’s far from that, but it’s way more playable than before. I personally get this lag in valorant and cod, not just csgo. But I noticed that csgo is extremely laggy compared to these two, like lag on steroids where mouse turns to a 20k dumbbell.
This fix I mentioned makes it tolerable
