Hi everyone,
I bought a new "Dell monitor G2724D 27" QHD (2560x1440) 165Hz Fast IPS" and a pair of 100W "Dali Spektor 1" speakers connected to an external 300W amplifier.
After a month of usage of this new system, sometimes I feel skin heat on my face and it lasts 10/15 minutes.
I have little doubt that the issue is caused by the Dell monitor. Could it be caused also by the speakers?
Have you ever experienced such an issue?
Does other monitor panel type such as VA, TN or OLED cause the same issue?
Do you know if the Anti-UV Eye Protection Filter Films work?
Thank you so much
Face skin heat issue
Re: Face skin heat issue
I get that too with problem screens. I think it's a nervous system response, visual stress related ?

Re: Face skin heat issue
Thank you for your answer.
I don't think it's related to visual stess, I don't fell a stress on the eye level. I tought it can be related to the UV rays or something else emitted by the monitor.
This is the reason why I also asked if the Anti-UV Eye Protection Filter Films work.
What do you mean when you write "problem screens"?
Re: Face skin heat issue
It could very well be that a device in your vicinity is emitting electromagnetic waves that are angled towards your face, thus heating up your skin.GreenTree55 wrote: ↑28 Mar 2024, 17:45Hi everyone,

Have you ever noticed this happening before buying the monitor? Could also be some other underlying medical condition.

The old monitor which was a monitor/TV (Samsung 27" T27B300 LED) has never caused me this issue. I think the new monitor is the cause of the heat I can feel on my face.
I don't know how to solve the problem because even if I choose to buy another monitor, I don't know what specs I should avoid.

Take a look around this subforum and look at some general guidelines Chief BlurBuster recommends.GreenTree55 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2024, 15:20Sorry for the late reply.kyube wrote: ↑11 May 2024, 19:19It could very well be that a device in your vicinity is emitting electromagnetic waves that are angled towards your face, thus heating up your skin.
