Hi guys,
my problem is that when playing PUBG (my 0.1 lows) drops to 10fps every 30 seconds or and I don’t know why. Please see the attachment for a fps/frametime graph.
I’ve tried literally everything…. but it doesnt help and the game runs like garbage despite high FPS in general...so maybe someone has an idea on how to get a smooth gaming experience in pubg
System:
- Ryzen 7 5800x3d (turned off e cores in bios as it felt like shit having them on)
- 32 GB 3600mhz ddr 4 ram (xmp on, flck on 1800)
- Rtx 3070 (on 537.58, DDU install, debloated driver)
- BIOS is updated
- Chipset is updated
- NVME driver updated
- turned off all unsed devices in device manager
- HPET off (device manager, dont have the option in Bios)
Some of the settings I use:
- Running PBO on -20 stable
- Optimized windows 10
- Did all the pubg tweak stuff I found
- Turned off game mode in windows
- turned on resizeable bar
- optimized nvidia control panel
- using ultimmate power plan
In game:
- all settings very low / off
- 1728x1080 res
- DX 11 (dx 11enhanced worsened the sutter / fps drops)
If you post some ideas I’ll hang in and let you know if it’s already been - would be much appreciated Thanks!

try old driver like 472.12
Re: Need help with PUBG - insane FPS Drops on ryzen 7 5800x3d
idk, but you need find what component of your pc cause that. Maybe you need try radeon card for test (because amd + amd better then amd + nvidia, because nvidia driver have problem with amd usb). Another bioses, chipset / no chipset drivers, etc.
try to write in pugb support.
also, i have same drop on intel (13700k + 3070) but in cs2, my average fps is 600-700 but it drop to 300 every second.
and you need to use mousetester 1.5.3 to check correct settings of your bios / os.
on amd + nvidia you need get delta 995hz-1005hz MAX. if you get 980-1020 or worse, you have bad with some in your settings.

Hello, I have the same system as yours and it helped me to update the visual c+ and directx library. Downloaded the full package from TechPowerUpLampedusa wrote: ↑10 Jun 2024, 16:12Hi guys,

I do -30 on some cores, but 2 strongest cores require -10 and -15. And some other cores run -20, -25.
Do this in BIOS:
CPPC Enabled
CPPC Preferred Cores Disabled
Global C-State Control Enabled
Disable all power saving features in addition
I have no idea how did you setup timer resolution, you have to change some BCDEdit values too...
Also SMT OFF is good for CS2 for example, other games run better with it ON, and your CPU is gonna perform better for regular tasks better with it ON
And FFS leave the game mode ON. It has been debunked so many times now, it used to suck, but MS fixed it.
To rule out your CPU as problem here I need some benchmark results, like CineBench R23 and CPU-Z.
We need to know if it's underperforming or not first.
