ethernet controller/windows wrong afinity?/input lag

Post by rafyyy » 09 Jan 2025, 01:26

Hello i've been just looking through afinity policy tool making sure that i didnt have any mask selected to my gpu since i started using win ltsc and just making sure, but i've noticed that my realtek controller had a mask itself and it was selected to AllCloseCores while all my other devices were set to all my cores(no afinity selected)
Ive tweaked this system to very low latencies and almost perfect and i am just messing aroung with some internet settings since i've reached a good baseline with my adapter itself and its optimat settings.
I trired deleting the mask and just letting it on all cores of the cpu (ryzen 7 6800 laptop)
My network seems more stable now, ive used cloudflare latency test, waveforms bufferbloat, and other tests and ive noticed lower jitters and some improvement in the upload latencies on cloudflares test
I decided to see if this is the default value on other iso and its the same on 24h2 and normal win10, maybe its other value on other versions of windows

Im interested in you guys if you ever checked this and share your opinions (there is a posibility that it just based on your driver/etc)
Sorry for my bad english^^
