Samsung G80SD low latency mode + vsync
Hello,
On my old 144hz monitor i been running this settings form blurbusters, for smoothest experience and best performance.
And frame limit was automatically limited to 138 fps.
Buy on my new monitor it will limit it to 116 fps. Like I am running 120 Hz. Windows is running 240 hz. And in the monitor menu it says 240 hz too.
But in games it gets limited to 116 Hz.
Gpu: 4080 super and running through DP.
Set “Low Latency Mode” to “Ultra” in the Nvidia Control Panel. When combined with G-SYNC + NVCP V-SYNC, this setting will automatically limit the framerate (in supported games) to ~59 FPS @60Hz, ~97 FPS @100Hz, ~116 FPS @120Hz, ~138 FPS @144Hz, ~224 FPS @240Hz, etc.
Thanks

Re: Samsung G80SD low latency + vsync
do you have another display connected that is running at 120hz ? if you do and you have that one set as the main display in windows, then that would explain what's going on...
because nvidia's reflex low latency mode (and i believe it's the same for the ultra low latency option), when using gsync + vsync on, only does its automatic fps limit below the display's max refresh rate based on the current max refresh rate of the display you have set as your main display in window (yes even if that's not where the game is running).

When utilising gsync + vsync, Nvidia's reflex low latency mode (and I think the same applies to the ultra low latency option) only automatically limits the frame rate below the maximum refresh rate of the display.
