ok but...WHY DOES MY OLD LOW SPEC USB WIFI DONGLE FEEL BETTER THAN MY PCIE NIC

ive spent countless hours testing all different kinds of nic tweaks, interupt affinity/priority, dpc/isr tweaks. tested my intergrated nic (rtl8125) a pcie card wiht the same chip, an asus xg-100c v2. sometimes i get it feeling somewhat responsive, then it goes back to feeling meh again. i got a taste of how it performs on linux so i know good nic performance vs shit. decided lets test my old usb dongle i use in my guest pc for the jokes and wtf. in game felt so responsive. perfect hitreg, no lag spikes. and this is using wifi 5GHz. my other nics are LAN 1gb. i had my wifi dongle plugged into a cpu usb port, will this make a difference vs chipset pcie? or is it because of just basic drivers/unregulated interupts (i checked latencymon using wifi dongle and saw a fat ammount of interrupts) ive tried turning off interupt moderation with my pcie nic but it feels no different. My next experiement is running my nic in my m2 slot that goes straight to cpu.

i know these nics arent the best but come on, a outdated shit wifi dongle shouldnt outperform them? its a realtek 8812BU. download speeds obvs arent anywhere as good tho since my router is downstairs

That's my experience as well with a Realtek USB dongle compared to an Intel NIC. Not enough difference for me to matter though.

I play new world as main game and very competetive in it, and i seem to be able to dodge out of attacks a lot more consistently. otherwise theres so many times where i start the dodge animation for a split second to then rollback and get CC'd, or my ability rolls back.

This game uses rollback netcode and my "rollback count" is considerably higher using my ethernet nic. So i wonder, is it because of it being UDP and im sending packets too fast and out of order? or does the added latency going through chipset really make that much of a difference? but then linux feels as responsive when using my pcie nic. linux uses a different kinda interupt system than windows does so i wonder if disabling interupt moderation makes packets more likely to be delayed or out of order.
