Three monitors, which one to choose?

Hello everyone, I have been doing some research and I chose three monitors. Help me decide which one will be the best.

1. OMEN X 25f with a total response of 189hz and first response of 2.1ms
2. Dell G2524H with a total response of 222hz and first response of 3.8ms
3. Dell AW2521HF with a total response of 196hz and first response of 2.9ms

I cant fully understand what exactly “first” and “total” responses do. If someone explained in a way that cs player would understand, would be really cool. I am curious about motion clarity, ghosting, smearing, screen tearing, input lag, responsiveness. Excuse me if I wrote absolute nonsense.

Skip all 3. Why? They have subpar G2G response times compared to the offers below.
Go for one of these:
XL2546X+, XL2566X+, AW2523HF, XG259CMS, XG259QNS or 24G2ZU/XG2431/VG249QM1A/XG249CM (they all house the same panel)
Odyssey G4 or 25G3ZM are ok but it's better to go for panels above.

Zowie is too expensive brand new and finding used one is really hard. Whats the difference between XG259CMS and XG259QNS? They are both out of my budget but I could just maybe get the cheaper one.

Also what do you think about new AOC Q25G4S?

XG259CMS uses a 310Hz (OC'd) panel, exact model is: AUO M250HAN03.5, which is a native 300hz panel.
XG259QNS uses a 380Hz (OC'd) panel, likely using the same old 360Hz AUO IPS panel as older 360Hz IPS displays.

The Q25G4S (panel: HKC SN245ES01-1) is a personal favorite of mine due to the the higher density, smaller screen size and relatively excellent refresh rate target at a great price point.
I assume you can also skip the DSC sheningans by using the HDMI2.1 port on it
Here are a few reviews I was able to find:
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1MqQhY6EDj/
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1NqXHYkEeJ/ (has ufo)
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV16cQoYcEK6/

I believe the latest rumor was that it's coming in June/July 2025, at a £239 price point.

If you can drive the frame rate at 1440p, I would whole-heartedly recommend the Q25G4S. The pixel density difference from 24" 1080 to 24" 1440p is amazing.
Otherwise, It might be better to opt for refresh rates which are divisible by 24, 30, 60 to have syncing in video content. Example of such refresh rates are 240hz and 360hz (which is my only gripe with the Q25G4S...)

Q25G4S > XG259QNS > XG259CMS in terms of desirability imo, but your use-case might differ from mine.

Hope this helps.

Its kinda hard for me to understand everything, could you recommend a monitor based on what I will use it for?

I play cs2 semi-pro, also I play games like valorant, warzone, rainbow 6, rust, etc when I have spare time. My budget is around 300€, I can buy either used or new, just that there arent many used monitors for this price range.

for under 300€ I can only get xl2546k (even finding this model is very hard) used which is not that good as xl2546x/s or xl2566k, also I forgot to mention I do sim racing, and now planning to play some aaa titles, so would like to get something else

If you want to play CS2, then opt for the highest refresh rate 1080p display you can buy within your budget (assuming you can run 240–360fps easily)
CS2 became much more taxing on the GPU and 1440p would cripple your game performance severely.
Backlight strobing displays (DyAc, PureXP, ULMB) might give you an advantage when spraying, but you need to maintain +240fps for that. This might not be feasible, depending on your HW.

I have stable 600-700fps, but just blindly buying monitor of a refresh rate is not good, what about response times, input lag, motion clarity, ghosting, smearing etc? for example xg2431 is “certified” monitor here, but in reality it is very very bad, that motion clarity is good only on low hz not max, and if using strobing, which increases very noticeable input lag and besides all this you cant see anything because that strobing dims monitor completely. there are many monitors and I do not know how to pick one
