Asus xg27aqdmg flickering!

Post by MrEpidemic » 04 Jun 2025, 19:58

I am having a weird occurrence with Nvidia drivers and the xg27aqdmg. Any driver 551.xx or prior is fine. All drivers after the for mentioned I have crazy vrr flickering. I can't seem to figure out what's different with the newer drivers to solve this issue. Has anyone else seen this or have a solution to fix this issue?

I've read a lot of posts about OLED flickering but this seems like a more isolated issue. Most of the posts just say turn vrr off which seems pointless when that's what you're paying for.

For reference I've tried several drivers between 551.xx and the most current while using DDU in between. Same results. Also tested on my main 4070ti machine as well as a 2080ti machine with the same results.

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks! 🙏

I would say that if it didn't flicker before, that means VRR wasn't working. This is the flicker I'm talking about though, shown in the video here:

Unless you're seeing a different kind of flicker.

That's what I was leaning towards but if I manually turn it off with a one of the "newer" drivers it feels completely different as far as motion clarity and imout latency which didn't make sense either to me.
