GPU/Display & It's Hitreg/Desync Correlations

Post by serenamannesh » 11 Dec 2025, 20:05

Been stewing this one for a bit. None of the network adapter or otherwise unspecified tweaks have worked, I have combed this forum and did all of those with varying degrees of unsuccess!

The only tweaks that have worked for me, inconsistently mind you, have been GPU related. Drivers, MSI, profile inspector. Everything you can think of I have done, to include and up to fiddling with how the display is managed. Only now have I been able to haphazardly reproduce the positive effects of GPU tweaking, which is mostly related to how I fucked with the display settings.

Firstly, GSYNC. I have a GSYNC capable laptop, I ran it thru GSYNC after all these years of disabling it; owing to this post on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantTechSu ... esync_fix/. I play games such as CS:S, older titles that are extremely sensitive to anything I touch on windows. Being able to frag out on games notorious for their desync issues made me awe inspired. Then it didn't work, and I wasn't able to reproduce it-sporadically at best.

I did some extra display tweaks, wont add them here because again they do not work after a certain period of time. Something is bugging out on the GPU side of things, it has to be the GPU! Would like some insight on how or why GSYNC would aid desync for any reason?
