Was this practice continued with TVs that now accept 120 Hz input and above? Has there even been a confirmation of TV running internally at 240 Hz, for example
Past 60Hz TVs often meant true 120 Hz internally (interpola). Do today's TVs internally refresh beyond HDMI input limit?

In the past TVs were advertised with "motion rate" or something similar which was a formula based on internal interpolated frame rate plus strobing effectiveness. TVs would often accept 60 Hz signal but would internally run at 120 Hz.
