Presentmon dwm.exe

Hello everyone,
I don’t have very deep knowledge on this topic, so I’m genuinely curious about something that’s been bothering me.
When I check PresentMon, I see that dwm.exe is running in Legacy Flip mode, while other applications are running in Composed Flip mode. What I’m wondering is whether DWM running in Legacy mode causes any issues, and if this is normal behavior for everyone.
If someone who understands this well could explain it, I’d really appreciate it.

DWM running with legacy flip means it can't bypass DWM

(I don't know what it would even mean for DWM to bypass itself.)

It's a misleading thing which occurrs with the PresentMon CLI, don't mind that.
Rely on:
•
SpecialK (if offline / no kernel AC game),
•
RTSS' overlay (not the same as MSI Afterburner's overlay)
•
FrameView .csv files
to figure out the presentation model of the specific game you're interested in.
FrameView works fine on AMD dGPUs, which is what you have.
The RTSS overlay is accessed by: opening up RTSS → clicking the 'Setup' button → opening the 'Plugins' tab → double clicking the OverlayEditor.dll setting (checkmark it beforehand) → clicking Layouts → Load → selecting 'presentmon_latency_analyzer.ovl' or 'reflex.ovl'
Off-topic — you shouldn't be using Razer's app, nor Bluetooth.

I JUST SAW THOSE ICONS, this guy is the final boss of input lag and data harvesting.

They’re all disabled anyway, nothing changes even like that — don’t worry. I just did a fresh format.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, it was just funny for a moment because I didn't see them initially. Also I think Razer's app is fine, even though I only used it years ago.

How do you inject SpecialK or RTSS into DWM.exe and have them show the overlay?

The DWM.exe being reported as Legacy Flip used to happen to me when I ran a game in the background which was in HW:LFlip and alt-tabbed to check CLI data.
Hence why I told him to disregard that data and use other tools for troubleshooting games (which is likely what he was trying and came across this behavior)
