OLED vs fast IPS with nvidia pulsar

I bought the pulsar monitor, but thinking about returning it since i don't really notice a difference between pulsar on vs off in competitive games. Is OLED a big upgrade to this thing when it comes to competitive games? I never had an OLED before and i really don't want to have to worry about burn-in and deal with warranty replacement etc. Does anyone have both this and a high refresh rate OLED that can help? I play marvel rivals/overwatch/the finals, is there a big difference in those kinds of games compared to the pulsar monitor? Is the latency noticeably lower in games? Thnx

At high FPS, yes. 480Hz/480FPS on OLED looks very clear. Note though that if you use VRR, OLED is really bad at it (heavy flicker.)

No. There are no differences in latency whatsoever.

-snip-
500Hz QD-OLED (FO27Q5P, AG276QKD2 or 271QR X50) or a good backlight strobing model (e.g.: XL2566K)
Pulsar is mediocre, at best.

Between a Pulsar enabled model & a OLED model? There absolutely is

what if i used ulmb on games with 360+ fps? would that make it more viable and closer to those models? or is that also crap on this thing?

Pulsar models are simply bad for fixed refresh rate strobing.
Opt for ASUS PG27AQN instead, if you want to chase down that path.
360Hz @ PW=100 (25% duty cycle; 272cd/m²) would get you ”effective ~1440Hz refresh rate”
[steps in between, increments of 10]
360Hz @ PW=10 (4,5% duty cycle; 24cd/m²; lowest setting) would get you ”effective ~8000 Hz refresh rate”

The PG27AQN with it's adjustable PW eclipses the Pulsar models by quite a large margin

Damn, so there is literally no use case for this thing? I figured since most the games I enjoy run in the 200-300 fps range this thing would be perfect for that

Also, do you think they will add a pulse width slider in future firmware updates?
