[GIGABYTE] INPUT LAG IN BIOS AND WINDOWS
Has anyone experienced something similar?
In the PC Health section of the BIOS, my mouse feels extremely laggy—almost like it’s running at ~20 Hz. I’ve also noticed this behavior in other BIOS sections where values are constantly updating (e.g., voltages, temperatures). The cursor movement becomes noticeably less responsive in these areas.
Video proof -> streamable [dot] com/fm6xgh
Additional Observations
I also experience input lag in Windows and in games, although it’s less pronounced compared to the BIOS issue.
I’ve been dealing with general input lag problems for years, across different hardware setups.
However, this particular issue in the BIOS is much more obvious and severe.
through out the years, i tried every possible tweak hack to medicate the input lag but nothing works, even the absurd suggestions posted without any good results, though sometimes randomly at night my mouse gets snappier for few minutes and then beaks,
Ive tried multiple locations and multiple systems,
Id really appreciate some help if someone has dealt with this before.

RAM: 16GB (Dual Channel, Trident Z, CL18 3600 MHz)

Why use a mouse in BIOS? If everything is done with the arrow keys.

Yep, I just got an AMD 9070 XT. First AMD GPU I ever purchased and there's a tab in the software for performance/tuning. Whenever I open that up it runs like shit. Well, not really like shit but it's definitely not smooth.

Re: [GIGABYTE] INPUT LAG IN BIOS AND WINDOWS
I recently purchased a Gigabyte board (a budget one) cuz my old ASUS died. In my BIOS (all bios versions) the mouse is UNUSABLE. Literally 1 hz. The mouse takes between 2 to 3 seconds to move. Yes. seconds. The keyboard works just fine inside BIOS.nickchraj wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026, 11:57Has anyone experienced something similar?

I am experiencing this issue as well: within the BIOS, my mouse sensitivity drops to a speed equivalent to roughly 100 DPI. Currently, there is no explanation for this phenomenon—and, notably, the degree of the speed reduction varies significantly depending on the specific mouse being used.

i will never again, buy gigabyte mobos or gpus, they`re horrible, the mobo's bios has many features missing.
