Asus PG27AQDP Question

High Hz on OLED produce excellent strobeless motion blur reduction with fast GtG pixel response. It is easier to tell apart 60Hz vs 120Hz vs 240Hz on OLED than LCD, and more visible to mainstream. Includes WOLED and QD-OLED displays.

Asus PG27AQDP Question

Post by keke_keke » 10 May 2026, 07:44

Hi, im new on this awesome forum, i always visited this site but never had an account, recently i have been interested on OLED monitors and high refresh, then i found a brand new PG27AQDP for kinda "cheap" in my country.

But i was reading bad stuff about DSC, i usually play competitive games so its kinda important to me, and i was trying to wait until a 500hz 2.1 20UBR W-oled monitor so i can use it without DSC until i saw this sale.

Now i have a question, its possible to run the Asus PG27AQDP at [email protected] 10bit without DSC and without negatives effects? like some kind of weird latency or input lag by creating a custom res/hz profile?, theorically is possible to use it at that HZ without DSC? i calculated in a website that u only need 44.2 Gbps to run it.

Hows the DSC implementation on the Asus PG27AQDP? anyone had bad experiences?

Thank you, and sorry if this is a well known topic.

I wouldn't bother buying any older OLED monitors. High refresh rate RGB subpixel layout OLEDs are just around the corner, so I would continue waiting until then.
