Just factory reset, if you've read my previous posts on here I have spoken on my resolution tweaks and how it aided my desync and hitreg issues for some odd reason. Well now I've reached another revelation
I have just set my resolution from 2560x1600 to 1920x1080 and usually this would have done absolutely nothing for my desync/hitreg issues. enemies would still ferrari peek, etc. But for some strange reason, whenever I utilize the 'win32priorityseparation' values, they actually affect my latency in a perceptible way as opposed to trying to change these values when using my native res (2560x1600).
Not only that, I have kept my power plan on balanced and changed my processor power management to min 100% and max 100% and I have been having responsive, smooth gameplay in three games that I've tested.
The question I have is this. How come none of these settings do anything on their own? I can change cpu related settings and they'll have no affect but once I implement the resolution change then things start to happen, why?
Strange interaction between CPU settings and resolution

Re: Strange interaction between CPU settings and resolution
Interesting. Have you tried with other resolutions? Also did you change it to 1920x1080 in windows too or only in game or both?

forget all that. ITS FUCKING HARDWARE ACCELERATION. I turned off hardware accel in all the chromium bullshit apps like riot client and steam and now my games are running literally perfect. its been running good for over a week now

Here's a list of diagnostic steps:Apexer15 wrote: ↑19 Jun 2026, 03:12Tried and no difference for me, unfortunatelyserenamannesh wrote: ↑18 Jun 2026, 08:33forget all that. Disable Integrated Monitor in Device Manager (Wont turn off your monitor, don't worry)
Disable Both Display Policy Service and Display Enhancement Service in services.msc
In NVIDIA Settings, on the adjust 3d settings with preview tab-tick USE 3d APP settings, the middle one, not let 3d app decide, not use based off preference
Adjust scaling in NVIDIA, Aspect Ratio, and Override scaling are ticked
All of this is related to the display, I don't know why, or how but it explains why I have been changing resolutions around and such. I tested these settings in over three separate games, all with different engines. TF2, Counter Strike Source, and Tarkov Arena. All games suffer from notoriously horrendous netcode, etc. I managed to top score on several matches per each game for the past few days with no more inconsistency or drain of performance.
As a footnote: These settings may or may not work but on my setup they are already disabled or adjusted. Disable hardware accel in all apps that are based off chromium, don't worry about win32priorityseparation, none of the values seem to do anything for me but your mileage may vary. Disable HAGS, and Disable Gamemode. If you have any proprietary software such as Synapse or peripheral software like logitech ghub, disable those as well.
