HDR Flicker with VRR

Has anyone tested whether enabling HDR and VRR at the same time can increase brightness flicker only during game loading screens but not during actual gameplay?

I'm using a 27-inch 1440p 240Hz monitor connected through DisplayPort, and the issue only appears when the frame rate rapidly jumps between very low and very high values during loading or menu transitions. Once I'm in-game with a stable frame rate, the flickering disappears completely.

I already tried changing the VRR range, updating the GPU driver, switching DisplayPort cables, and testing both native and lower refresh rates, but the behavior remains the same.

Is this simply a limitation of current VRR implementations with HDR, or has anyone found a monitor setting, GPU option, or firmware update that specifically reduces flicker during these frame rate transitions?
