Light boost. Am I using it correctly?

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, ToastyX, black frame insertion (BFI), and now framerate-based motion blur reduction (framegen / LSS / etc).

Light boost. Am I using it correctly?

Post by Denday77 » 01 Jan 2015, 14:16

Hi! I just installed zero motion blur light boost - ToasyX Stobelight App.

I'm running a dual monitor set up. Two Asus VG248QE's.

I don't play any games in 3D. How do i get it to work in 2D?

Also, I cannot seem to turn Light Boost on/off. It says Control+Alt+plus/minus should turn it on/off. For me, all it does it increase/decrease the size of my desk top icons. I am trying turn it on/off so i cam see the difference.

Thanks in advanced!

If you installed the strobed framerates you can also turn LB on/off by changing resolution (120/121/144 etc.).

Hotkeys only work if "strobelight.exe" is running.

You can see the difference easily on testufo, also the color turns purple (you will need the color profile for LB, see the other thread)

LB "works" in all applications not only 3D. All it does is rapidly turning the backlight on/off.
