Hi all,
Just got my new XL2411z set up, have set the blur reduction utility to strobe phase 0, 2.5ms persistence and I'm using the VT1350 tweak at 120Hz. I'm using an R9 290 on Catalyst 14.12 (omega), with 2 1280x1024@60 HP monitors either side of the 2411z.
I'm getting this weird double/triple image effect (not ghosting, though it is there too) on the moving picture effect on chrome, as well as dropping loads of frames in the frame dropping test. Sorry if the pic quality is really bad, I've the exposure set as low as it can go and I'm tracking the image as well as I can with the camera. Its pretty much exactly what I see though:

What have I set up wrong here?
It doesn't seem to show in games, its a big jump from my 60Hz 5ms monitor but I'm new to all of this tech so I want to make sure its set up right.
EDIT: I fired up Quake 3, turned on VSync, set the yaw speed to 100 and looked left and right using the arrow keys. Blur Reduction is 100% working, no double image. Huge difference! So the issue I'm having here must be desktop composition related (I have it on for the tests) or browser performance related. Could be something to do with AMDs drivers, I'm just very used to the 104Hz overclock on my Nvidia laptop being 100% stutter and artifact free, albeit with motion blur.

Does it double image all the time or intermittently? Try Chrome Beta, it's much smoother at that test. I had tons of weird frame dropping issues in Chrome non beta and all other browsers besides Chromium. Could also be your monitor settings but I'm not expert on the BenQ. Definitely use Chrome Beta for that test though, it's smoother.

It was double imaging all the time with the other monitors plugged in, but just before you posted I plugged the other two out and got the monitor driver from windows update and it became intermittent.Blural wrote:Does it double image all the time or intermittently? Chrome beta with just the XL2411 plugged in is perfect though, no hiccups or double imaging, thanks!
Still stutters intermittently when I plug the other two monitors back in, but not near as bad and its guaranteed to be AMD's driver at fault as usual. At least I can unplug the other 2 and tweak the crosstalk to my liking now!
