LightBoost and Monitor Scaling

Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to run light boost 10% 120Hz and also use monitor scaling? When I have Lightboost activated I only have the option for GPU scaling in the nvidia options.

If there is no way, which is better for CS GO online: 144Hz with monitor scaling or 120Hz Lightboost with GPU scaling? I'd like to play 1024 x 768 black bars.(due to old habits from as far back as cs 1.1 )

I have Benq XL2420t and Nvidia GTX 770 with latest nvidia stable drivers.

If I set 1024x768 in NVIDIA CP I get the 4:3 black bars and I can still set my any of my strobed refresh rates. I don't have CS:GO but I launched HL2 and it was working great. I have the XL2420T as well.

120Hz w/ Lightboost is WAYYY better than 144Hz full persistence. If the extra 1.3ms you cut by running 144Hz makes you a better player, then I tip my hat to you.

Yea I do get the black bars and can strobe. But the scaling is done by the GFX card and not the monitor, with stobeing enabled the drop down box that usually lets you choose between GFX card scaling and Monitor scaling only allows GFX.

I think Lightboost only works at resolutions other than the native with GPU scaling. I remember I had problems when switching resolutions ingame until I enabled GPU scaling.
