Benq XL2411Z scaling @ 144hz
Are all resolutions scaled with gpu at 144hz? when i check my osd it shows 1920x1080 @ 144hz no matter what resolution.

Yes, true.
144 hz isn't a standard refresh rate.
You can't even create a lower resolution 144 hz in custom resolution utiliy (in standard refresh rates).
That's pretty much the short story why many monitors that 'supported' 144 hz (like the XL2411T) were not even advertised as 144 hz on the box!
(The vg248qe did advertise it).
144 hz causes other problems, like some video cards not downclocking while idle, some downclocking the core while the GDDR ram runs at full speed, etc...etc...
