I thought Display Port was supposed to be the "connection of the future". I bought a DP cable for my BenQ XL2420Z and ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980Ti AMP! 6GB card and it only does max 60 Hz refresh.
I'm wondering what the point is to having more DP on cards now and only one DVI.

Re: Display Port Limitation?
What firmware is on the XL2420Z?
Displayport requires firmware V3 or newer in order to work on it.
If you have V3 or newer, you should uninstall your video card driver in *SAFE MODE* with Wagnard's Display driver uninstaller (You can first run the regular uninstaller in normal mode then boot to safe mode) and then reinstall drivers afterwards.

Re: Display Port Limitation?
Hello,
just check the Monitor Settings in the Driver. When i plug in my DP Cable with 2430T it show's me Full HD with 60Hz. And when i scroll down i see 1920 x 1080 with all the other Refresh Rates.
Greetings

Thanks, I got it resolved. Not sure why it would be necessary, but I had to install the INF file that came with the monitor. That may have just been a coincidence because I used the Windows settings this time instead of the Nvidia Panel, but now Nvidia's lists all the refresh rates also.
I had been told the DP 1.2 will not do 144Hz at 1080. Guess they were wrong.
Thanks for your responses.
