LG 27GK750F-B vs Benq XL2546

Post by zbone » 22 Sep 2018, 04:19

I have XB271HU and play Overwatch very competitively. The problem is I feel very limited by the motion blur even with OD set to Extreme.
I tried ULMB but the colours turn absolutely bland and washed when brightness is cranked up resulting in me not being able to see models clearly and absolutely struggling to see them in dark areas.

I am looking to buy a second monitor and trying to choose between LG 27GK750F-B and XL2546. I have XB271HU for all games that are not extremely competitive so image quality outside of Overwatch is not a concern.
What I am mostly worried is image clarity with 240Hz strobing/Dyac, which includes how bright and easy to read image is. One would think that XL2546 is the top choice but being $200 cheaper and 27" is a noticeable plus in my book, so unless Benq is noticeably superior in blur reduction, I would probably go with LG.

Thoughts, comments?

I think XL2546 in terms of strobed picture is on par with LG.
If you prefer 27", then simply go with LG, I dont think you may be disappointed with it.
I'm pretty happy in Overwatch with my LG 240hz MBR always on. Its bright, colors are fine.

ULMB (well, their version of strobing) at 240hz in Overwatch is amazing. Colors are fine as well and my Asus PG258Q has been sitting on the floor for months since I got it.
