I have 10 series GPU that doesn't output an analog signal. I have to use my CRT using DVI-D to VGA Active Adapter it was expensive startech adapter with mini USB for additional power. It's used on LaCie Electron 19 Blue IV 120Hz. I feel a slight lag using the adapter not sure what to do, i'm considering buying a 900 series GPU. Have others here used Active adapters what's your take on them?

Active adaptors can add lag.
Lagless adaptors are extremely hard to find -- the HDFury is one of the best in this department and is popular with emulator users. You could do a dumb adaptoring of DVI-D to HDMI, and use one of the better HDMI-to-VGA adaptors that accomplishes it with subframe latency.

Watched a few YouTube videos showing Latency on adapters are 23ms and above. I have purchased a 900 series Nvidia GPU.

Good move.
The best adaptors to use are the ones that emulation groups are the most picky about. Some of them have found darn nearly lagless HDMI-to-VGA conversion that uses a realtime rolling-window for subframe latency. Reserach the emulation groups to find out how lagless they got HDMI-to-analog conversion to become.

Installed Asus Strix GTX970 using DVI-A to VGA adapter and i'll have to say the difference is day and night over the converter.
CSGO feels tight now. The Converter was a curse!
