Will g-sync monitors only have display port connectivity. Appreciate that g-sync may only work on display port, but does that mean monitor will be limited to only display port connections?

No, not necessarily.

There will be GSYNC monitors that have other ports available (at least in non-GSYNC mode).
Just that they were not on the first released models.

"Availability pushed back to late June and 3D Vision support confirmed."

Confirmed to have strobing, though that's expected.

Any news regarding the release date of this monitor?

What is the overall quality of AOC monitors? I'll find myself having to choose between the ASUS and AOC.

Looks like this one will be. Also from these pics it looks like there will be an external power brick, I've only had monitors before with a kettle plug type connector, anyone know of any pros or cons to having an external brick?

It means no ventilation shafts, which in turn means no dust or the possibility of small insects to melt themselves into the panel and be visible there for all eternity.

Also it moves a potential point of failure to an easily replaceable power brick. I like it.
