Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
I think I'll just dig my 20 inch PC CRT out of storage and see if it still works. using that plus a 240 HZ modern LCD monitor should cover all the bases. unless I just happen to find a Sony GDM-FW900 at a flea market or something.

A 48" CX OLED is rather nice, even if MPRT can never be less than 1/240sec = ~4.2ms in BFI mode on an LG OLED CX.
The motion blur reduction with OLED BFI is very, very clean (regardless of hardware-based or software-based BFI on OLED).
Yeah, I've thought about getting a 360hz LCD and try the ...

yeah, after reading like 1000 forum post and reviews, UFO tests videos etc.. I'm just going to put an LG 48 CX OLED on my desk. lol There's just too many variables with gaming monitors.. if EVERY model had BFI/strobing that was user configurable from 60hz up (pulse width, duty cycle, overdrive, etc ...

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
i just got an email from sales that my order was delayed until Sept because of a firmware issue that made the monitor "underperform from the advertised specs." I guess they've fixed it and have to flash the new firmware before they can ship.. i dunno but I cancelled my order. I'm not in a huge hurry ...

It's from Lagom's LCD test page. I cloned the output of the two displays and took a photo. It's not gonna be very accurate, and it can only compare the lag between the monitors being tested, but it's enough to see that there's a decent amount of lag in 60hz mode for the XG2431. It's definitely ...

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
Hey man, how's the brightness on it when strobing? I think Chief said it's a little over 200 nits on the "light" setting, so I'm guessing it's even lower than that on I suppose more extreme settings. Not entirely sure how dim that is but DyAc+ gets like 380 nits so it's quite higher than the ...

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
if you're setting resolution inside a game menu is there any way to tell the QFT custom resolutions from the stock ones or do you have to create say, 119hz or 61hz, etc, so you can differentiate? i guess just setting the desktop mode before loading the game would be the easiest thing but was curious ...
