Hi, first a little background:

I mainly play Apex Legends (which is limited by it's engine to 300fps). The hardware I have (3070Ti + 13600KF + 32gb DDR5) reaches between 250 FPS to 300 FPS depending on how many stuff is happening at the moment, but 80% of the time im at 299 FPS.

Hi, I will add a question to the table, let's say you have a system that reaches 299-300 FPS in game (1080p), but you have a 360hz monitor..
Keep in mind the game we are discussing (Apex) is limited by it's engine to 300 FPS max.

Should I reduce my FPS to 298 to make it stable there? Or which would ...

Do not get the acer 390hz even if its available. The 540hz monitor comes out in like 2 months. It will for sure be better than the acer and maybe the xl2566k. I personally would not ...

Noticable difference in gaming situation just doesn't warrant the cost difference sorry, Xl2566k is overpriced.
If I owned one Im sure I would love it, but I have the Acer and I think it's nearly perfect for the games I play.

my solution for every dilemma you have is Acer 390hz 1080p..

I curently run that monitor on Acer Predator XB273U GX 1440p 270hz native timings.

pretty much the same exept Predator is on 10bit..and this tune is on 8bit..

In addiction. Go for a second hand XL2546K If u dont have lots of money. Its the second best 1080P monitor imo. ( best is the XL2566K) The pricedifference between the XL2546K and the XL2566K is arround 400 euro. Thats more then double; some people want to upgrade to the XL2566K and get rid of ...
